Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Everything about paying, refunds and learning, for learners and for the grown-ups who pay.

How do we pay?

By mobile money. Open a course and choose Buy. Your order shows the exact amount and our merchant number. Send exactly that amount, then type the transaction ID from your confirmation message into the order page.

Which number do we send money to?

Only the merchant number shown on your order page, registered to Ternah Software Company Ltd. Pearl-educate staff will never ask you to send money to a personal number.

Where do we find the transaction ID?

In the confirmation message from your mobile money provider, straight after you send the money. It is a code of letters and numbers. Each ID can pay for one order only.

When does the course open?

As soon as our team checks your payment against the merchant statement and confirms it. You get a notification, and the course appears in My learning.

What if we send the wrong amount?

We cannot confirm a payment that does not match the order. Your order page shows the reason, so you can sort it out with us using your order number.

Can we pay later?

Yes, but an order that is not paid within 48 hours expires. You can start a new order whenever you are ready.

What if we change our minds?

Ask for a refund from your order page within 7 days of paying, as long as less than 50% of the course has been completed. Our team reviews every request and tells you the decision.

How does the money come back?

Our team sends it back by mobile money and records the refund. Your order then shows as refunded, and the course closes.

Can we get a refund on a subscription?

Refund requests on the order page are for single courses. A subscription keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.

Can we try a course before paying?

Yes. Many courses have free preview lessons. You need a free account to start a free course.

How long are the lessons?

About 10 minutes each, so they fit after school. Learners can stop and pick up where they left off.

What happens when my child gets an answer wrong?

Practice quizzes keep no score. They explain the answer, offer hints, and bring the question back later. Only graded checks keep a score, and learners can try them again.

Do learners get a certificate?

Yes, when a course offers one. Finish every lesson and score at least 70% on the graded checks. Each certificate has a link anyone can use to check it is real.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Lessons open in any phone browser, with nothing to install.

Who makes the courses?

Independent teachers. We check every teacher's profile before they can publish, and our team reviews every course for quality, assessments, accessibility and rights to the content before it goes live.

Can my child ask the teacher a question?

Yes. Every course has a question board where the teacher and the other learners in that course answer.

What do you show publicly about my child?

Only a first name and the first letter of the last name, and only next to a review your child chose to write.

Can two children share one account?

It works, but progress, review questions and certificates belong to one account, so each child learns best with their own.

Are there courses for grown-ups?

Short upskilling courses for adults are coming soon. Join the waitlist and we will email you when they open.
